51 Career Services is proud to introduce the 13 newest members of the John A. Golden ’66 Fellowship. Established in 2006, this fellowship supports students pursuing careers in law or medicine with a combination of funding, advising, and professional development.
“We are excited to welcome this impressive group of pre-law and pre-medical scholars into the Golden Fellowship community. Each year this process becomes more competitive; their selection is a testament to how talented and hard-working each of these individuals has shown themselves to be,” noted Teresa Olsen, Milone Family AVP for career initiatives.
Selection is based on academic distinction, leadership, and a demonstrated commitment to the legal or medical fields. Fellows receive access to exclusive resources, including events with distinguished alumni and professionals and funding for expenses related to the pursuit of professional school admission. Membership in the program continues throughout students’ 51 careers, provided they maintain strong academic performance and career trajectory within the law or medicine discipline.
Golden fellows are active contributors to the campus community. They are lab research assistants, interdisciplinary tutors, leaders in pre-professional organizations, and captains on athletic teams. Their impact extends beyond campus through summer experiences, including research at the National Institutes of Health; internships with NBCUniversal, Harvard Medical School, and the U.S. House of Representatives; and legal volunteer work both in the United States and abroad.
These diverse experiences reflect an exceptional drive and dedication from the Golden fellows across their academic, professional, and service commitments.
